The Rugby Proident Permanent Benefit Building Society latterly The Hinckley and Rugby Building Society.

Rugby had a record of Land Societies, Savings and Benefit Societies and similar organisations, including the 'Old Blue Ribbon Society' from about 1772. The terminating 'Rugby Building & Investment Society', later the 'Rugby Provident Building Society', was formed in 1874 , and then reformed as a permanent society in 1861. It merged in 1993 with the Hinckley Permanent Building Society.
